Lets begin! - 93 Turbo

PostSeptember 13th, 2011, 2:54 pm

ok, I got one 2.7 for my MR2 '93 turbo.
it is currently up and running thanks to Abdiel (Transmisiones PR) & Kris (KOracing). However, now I need to understand how it works. I have a couple of questions that may seem basic, but, I have zero experience on this. Here they are:

1. How does the long term learning mode works and what it is different from the Auto-tune option offered in previous versions?
2. How does the MAT sensor is calibrated? (currently not sure if displaying the correct temperature)
3. where and how do I setup the onboard data logging?
4. I notice the page where the "Gear Correction" is, but, need to know how to setup it.

...there may be more questions, but, this ones are ok to start. Thanks for your help!

NOTE (Voice of the costumer): if you are not going to support any other version of the EMS, the least I will expect is to have a proper manual available for the new version. Hopefully, this is resolve shortly.

The fastest help you will get is by emailing Kris at KO or RickyB. I will have my 2.7 on tuesday and have used the 2.6 manual for most of the reference that i needed.

1. The Long term trim now works a factory ecu making changes on a long term trim table if that feature is activated and enabled. It will add or subtract of the main fuel table. It is meant to make day to day changes to have the car run better over time. It is not meant to Auto-tune your car like previous systems.

2.THE MAt sensor should be pre calibrated by the base map loaded. You will need to unlock that capability if you want to make your own adjustments.

3. Along the Top to the Right of the Com Port Satus, Connect button, is Internal datalog Function. When offline, you can click "open" to open saved catalog file. when software is connected to ECU, you can click "show" to open data logger. It is pretty self explanatory when the logger is open. You can start typing any parameter you can think off on any of the 8 channels if you have a stage 3 Gamma and Up. It acts as a smart search and will start listing options as you type.
Stage 1 and 2 has fixed 8 Channel data logging.

4. Setting up Gear correction is similar to the Hydra2.6, you can currently use the 2.6 manual to set it up. This is assuming you have that capability unlocked.

We will be adding Tuning tips as we go along with the Hydra2.7 in the Hydra 2.7 Software Section soon. Too many new features to start writing a new manual. That will come at a later time.
